This track heralds his comeback after a hiatus that began in 2021, during which he relocated to New York City and San Francisco to pursue a career in finance. Despite living out his dream of experiencing these vibrant cities, Lozano felt unfulfilled without his music. In late 2024, he realized his true home was San Diego, where he could balance his passion for music with a dream finance job. “‘Where I Wanna Be’ is an ode to these past years of finding myself and where I really wanted to be after trying new places and experiences.” Lozano emphasizes the importance of taking a leap of faith to try new environments, noting that such moves, despite challenges like budget or living situations, can reveal one’s true desires.
